The first graders recently studied the human body as part of their knowledge lessons. They studied the skeletal system, circulatory system, digestive system, muscular system , food and nutrition, diet and exercise and even performed surgery in their very own hospital! They completed math lessons, counting by 5 and 10 with bones, graphing, writing, and reading. They had visitors to come in and talk about muscles and water intake and nutrition. Thank you, Megan Geyer and Ryan Ruben!
They got to remove a foreign object from a finger (sausage) and stitch it back up. They have learned so much! Congratulations with becoming doctors, first graders! Kudos to Ms. McCarty and Ms. Pursley for all the hard work that goes into running a hospital AND a classroom!
