Good evening. This is a reminder that tomorrow, May 29, 2026, Jackson County Schools will have a three-hour early dismissal, which is the last day of the school year for all students. If your child rides a bus, it will arrive at the drop-off location 3 hours before the normal drop-off time. As always, you can check the Zonar app to see the exact location of your child's bus at any given time. Please have a safe and wonderful summer.

The West Virginia General Summative Assessment (GSA) continues tomorrow for 8th graders.

These assessments are more than just a test—they are an opportunity for our students to demonstrate growth, achievement, and progress. We will be testing beginning M-W at approximately 8 am.

Now here’s what matters most:

Attendance is Mandatory
Being present each day of testing is essential. Make-up sessions can never fully replace the original testing environment. When students are here, on time, and ready, they set themselves up for success. We need all Ravenswood students in the building, ready to go.

Every Point Counts
Those few extra points can make a big difference. Whether it’s moving from one performance level to the next or showing growth from earlier in the year, each question matters. We’re encouraging students to take their time, double-check their work, and give their very best effort from start to finish.

Focus is Key
Concentration during testing is critical. This means getting a good night’s sleep, staying calm, and staying locked in during each testing session. Distractions can cost valuable points so we’re asking students to stay focused and give it their all.

At Ravenswood Middle School, we live by our motto:
“Where the Best Get Better!”

And this is one more opportunity for our students to level up in academics, effort, and accountability.
